Is it legal for us to date? her father seems hell bent on keeping us apart and I can understand his concern if i was him. But truthfully i'm not a bad kid, i'm an honors student, college bound, good home, and yet he simply is trying to keep us apart. Both of us lived lives where we had to grow up fast and its brought us together amazingly. I love her and am scared to lose her but i truly need to know the law. Even if it means jail i'm not leaving her, at least not without her telling me to. Thank you for any help you can be.

Jon

It is against the law man. There is nothing you can do about it. You don't want yourself and your life ruined if things turn out awry.

It's against the law for you two to have sex, but nothing says you can't be friends. Be careful, though, because her father could always make something up and get you into trouble. Also, no Internet sex, because that these days is too broadly interpreted and could be determined that you were trying to coerce a minor into a sexual relationship or anything of the sort and if you are college bound, that stuff is horrible on your record. Another thing, if you intend to get a decent job when you finish school, which most people go to college for, then they may check your record their and if you're a fellon, then you have to disclose that information. I think if she's 16 then a sexual relationship is fine, but until then just keep it clean and be careful. If you truly love her then this won't be hard and you should be able to wait.

Would you let your 15 year old daughter date any guy that was 18? You could be the President's son, son. Better to back off and find someone you aren't risking your entire future to be with.

If you love her, wait for her. If she loves you, she will wait for you. If you lose her, you are better off. She's 15 man, a girl, with girlish ideas and she will change her mind in a heartbeat. Just have a 21 year old colleg guy ask her out and see for yourself.

Wait a couple of years for her. If you care so deeply about her then it will be worth the wait.
