I would not be surprised to learn that Dick Cheney whistled "Onward Christian Solider" on his way into the White House each morning.

The President said there wouldn't be a draft. Whatever you may think of President Bush, you can't deny that he's stuck to his guns on anything he said. So, if (and thats an enormous if) we fight Iran, the current military will handle it without resorting to a draft. We already have 132,000 troops in place right next door. Iraq is the perfect staging point for any operation in Iran. The Army and Marine Corps are currently heavily engaged in Iraq. Not so, the Air Force. If Iran sends troops towards Iraq, we'd just carpet bomb them into oblivion. Besides, drafting troops doesn't instantly give you more troops. They still have to be trained.

From a soldier(me) - coping with Baghdad like how? in case you % it thoroughly demolished and all of the voters lifeless - specific we could cope with that for the period of a rely of days, hours, hell even a minute. however the objective exchange into to invoke shape, freedom, and protection into the country. With the quantity of terrorist cells and gorillas nonetheless interior the area it is stressful to maintain the voters risk-free. the belief is to take out the those categories of opposition with little or no collateral harm. If the troops packed up and left in the previous a central authority ran by using the human beings, for the human beings exchange into accepted then yet another dictator or pretty irrational individual ought to take administration of the area. The area could be pretty volatile and the citizen could be at risk for genocide returned - purely like Hussien exchange into prepared on doing to the Kurds. this could be a protection rigidity policing action at this element, purely like after WW2 in Germany and Italy. Iran is yet another tale, purely time will tell what comes of that difficulty. the main significant reason we stayed out of those areas is as a results of the fact they have been third worldwide and maximum eu international locations wanted to maintain them that way so the third worldwide country would not use many organic resourse and export those nature resourses to eu international locations. yet now that terrorism has been globalized and the possiblity of nuclear / chemical terrorism has exchange right into a actuality it would not appear like eu international locations/u.s. % to set returned and discover out in the event that they are going to attack. center jap/Asia local human beings understand overpowering domination, thats why their dictators have lots potential and that's why rigidity is implied to coach them. apart from, they gained't hear to reason and returned removed from nuclear hands interest.

FFS!!

The ONLY person who has tried to pass the draft is Charlie Wrangel, D, NY.

Ironically enough, the Democrats used the threat of the draft as a scare tactic prior to the '06 election.....and then it was a DEM who brought it up.

Thanks for playing.

I dont know about you but wouldnt that be amazing to have a draft back in place. Get people caring again about our country. I think a draft would bring people back to the moral ideals about this country. I mean let us avoid war whenever possible, but if we were to have a draft maybe people would start to carry about what goes on, instead of being more interested in a iphone.
