golden sun 2?

on golden sun 2 how do i transfer data from goldensun 1? i heard hold down R+L and press start on the golden sun one title screen. But when i do nothing happens? i have the link cable and two GBA sps and i hold down the buttons but nothing happens. the screen blinksn and goes to normal.. WHAT UP WIT DAT??!!

you have to hold down the movement left button and the R button together and press start at the golden sun(1) title screen. Then the menu screen will come up and there will be a new option (SEND).

I think you have to hold down r and start.
