Yes I believe in Atlantis. Why? There are so many ancient societies that have gone for years undiscovered and had documentation of their existence. Troy from the Iliad existed but they found out that every time Troy fell to an opposing force they built another city on top of the destroyed city (History class). Recently in Japan they found an underwater pyramid that predates the Egyptian pyramids (still under debate at this point). Therefore why couldn't there be an Atlantis that due to some earthquake was swallowed by the sea and the rest of the continents shifted covering up the actual location.

Depending on what you read, Atlantis is a possibility.
It is written about in the Tianic texts under Atlantinea . The Writer was a monk that watched it "vanish into the waters" Some believe it is a submarine city that still exist today somewhere in the bermuda triangle. Who knows. I have never met an Atlantian but I have watched Star Gate Atlantis. Pretty good series.

I absolutely do. Last year I wrote a term paper arguing this case. Beyond just Plato's account, there are at least a dozen other cultures that have similar myths. As with most legends, there have probably been embellishments and changes over time, but every legend has its roots in the truth. It would be impossible for so many civilizations which were not in communication which each other to have the same myth about a island that sank beneath the waves if there was not some veracity, no matter how distant, in the story. They could not all be making it up. If you'd like more info, or to see my paper, let me know.

Yes, Atlantis did exist. I am 100% sure of this. There is evidence for it all over the earth. Also, all the world's greatest psychics agree and describe it in detail in very much the same way. These physics include Edgar Cayce, H.P. Blavatsky, and Rudolph Steiner. If you read any book by any of these psychics on the subjects of Atlantis and Lemuria you will have an answer to all of your questions concerning the true history of mankind. There are hundreds of books on this subject, but these 3 psychics explain it the best. Have fun learning about real history!

I am not sure if the people from Atlantis called themselves Atlantians or they lived on Atlantis. However, I do believe there was a civilization that parallels that of the account of Atlantis.

According to the History Channel, 'Atlantis' was likely the Minoan civilization. The show was an episode of Lost Worlds. It's pretty interesting, you might want to check it out.

I'm not sure if I believe, but try checking out www.atlantisrising.com. If that doesn't work out, try visiting Atlantis, Fl. I know it exists because I've been there; it's just outside Palm Beach.

It might existed. I agree with Wisdom Cube; saw a TV programme about the search for lost civilizations. Quite interesting.

This is a "no brainer" question. Anyone who watches the SciFi channel knows there is an Atlantis...:>)
