1km=1000m=100000cm=1000000mm

0.001km=1m=100cm=1000mm

0.00001km=0.01m=1cm=10mm

0.000001km=0.001m=0.1cm=1mm

x millimeter = x/10 centimeter

so 53 mm = 5.3 cm

Please don't use plural in units

Use unit-based calculation:

53 mm * (cm / 10 mm) = 5.3 cm

I'm pretty sure you can use plurals with units!!!!! "The water spouted 10 metres into the air", "My penis is 5 centremetres long"...........yep no worries...here in Australia....but I think you guys in the states do everything a little different? "Madman you're wrrrrrrrrrong"!!!!

1 millimeter = 0.1 centimeters

So if you multiply 53millimeters * .1centimeter/1millimeter you get your answer!
