It will always be a going on debate. I don't personally believe in apportion. It should be if your raped you should be able to have an abortion any other reasons no, if you are old enough to have sex than you are old enough for what comes next.

I think it should be absolutely legal under ALL circumstances for any female of ANY age, so long as she has the abortion of her own volition. This means in particular so that she can't be forced into having an abortion. If god doesn't like it, it's between the girl who has the abortion and god. It's not my place to make religious judgements, nor is it anyone else's. Furthermore, the child has the right to be kept from suffering! In the majority of cases that I have seen, abortion would have prevented enormous suffering on the part of the child. The child doesn't have a choice, which also means that it doesn't have a choice whether to be born into abuse, hatred, starvation, etc.

If you ask me, it seems pretty straightforward. Anything that is not medically independant is not a separate entity.

After all, we have the technology now to keep a severed hand alive if we wanted to. Does that mean someone who cuts off their own hand should be tried for a crime? We also have the technology to take the DNA from any cell in your body and produce a whole new individual if we want. Does that mean every cell in your body should be afforded the 'right to life'?

Such things are patently ridiculous. There exist all kinds of things that MIGHT end up as humans if we screw around with them enough, but the fact of the matter is that we HAVE TO SCREW AROUND WITH THEM!

Bottom line - if Mom doesn't want some of her cells, and you don't have anything better to do with them, then let her discard those cells. They are hers!

The laws about abortion won't be up to us unless and until the Supreme Court tells the truth about the Constitution and, in doing so, allows the issue to be returned to the states. Unless and until Roe v. Wade is oveturned, my opinion and your opinion don't count.

Pro-lifers should be worried about the 17,000+ unwanted children being exploited in the streets right now. The foster care system is overcrowded. Once we find an appropriate way to take care of unwanted children, then we can think about changing the laws.

i think first trimester abortions should be legal in any situation, during this time we really are talking about a non sentient lump of growth, after that it should be illegal. I feel this would be a fair balance between both ideals, were stopping unwanted pregnancies, and not killing a sentient life.

It should be illegal so the kids out having kids of their own can't use it as birth control. Maybe it would teach them some responsibility if they actually had to do a little struggling of their own. It should be reserved for those who couldn't help getting pregnant.

No abortion after the fertilized egg has implanted on the uterus.

This society hates kids. It will soon go extinct. (Is there a Darwin Award for extinct societies?)

They are too inconvenient and we would rather have other luxuries.

There is a huge demand for adoption.
