Planning on moving to Colorado in about 3 months and trying to find out about the state. Currently live in Texas. Any information about living there would greatly be appreciated.

Check out craigslist.com for Denver info. or citysearch.com also. Good Luck with your move & springtime is perfect for a move as right now it's freezing!! Sorry, also meant to add that I paid $2.09 for unleaded on Sunday.

Well I'm happy to answer any specific questions you have. Gas prices here are roughly $2.10 (last I checked which was over the weekend).

However our lowest grade is 85. I moved from Wisconsin where the lowest grade was 87. So the prices may seem cheaper but you end up spending just as much because the lower grade gas gives you poor gas mileage.

Gas in Denver is currently $2.09 / gal. We moved here a while ago and really like it. Would recommend downtown Denver, northern suburbs, or near / in the mountains on the west side.

$2.06 for regular unleaded in metro Denver. I live 30 min. south of Denver in Castle rock. Great town. Moved here from New Jersey 15 years ago. Don't want to live any where else.

About $4 a gallon. It's really expensive here because we have so many SUVs.

Just kidding. We do have lots of SUVs but gas it about 2.50 a gallon--give or take depending on where you are in the state. It's just a little more than Texas.

By the way, let me welcome you to our fine state. We love Texans! Do you vote Republican? If so then you're REALLY welcome to Colorado. There are two groups that are big on the Centennial State: Californians and Texans. We like the Texans because they are conservative but we hate the Californians because they are mostly a stinky bunch of godless hippies.

So, again, welcome to Colorado and the Mile High City.

Shell was $2.06 yesterday. Also, Denver is 16% higher in its cost of living than Dallas. Go to Realtor.com and you will find a city comparison for all kinds of categories of comparying such as healthcare, housing etc...

I got gas yesterday for $2.15/gallon and I use super unleaded/87 octane, but for regular unleaded/85 octane it was $2.05/gallon. i think gas prices are supposed to go down a little more. I heard on the news that a woman found gas for $1.95 at a small gas station, so it's not too bad.
