you mean the units?

In MKS, density is measured in kilograms per meter cubed

mass in kilograms

You need to see how much water got displaced when you put the crown in the tub. If you saw the water level rise to where 105 cubic units would have been if it was all water, then the volume of the crown would be 5 cubic units. Once you have the volume and have the mass (and I suppose we could take pounds to be a unit of mass instead of weight in this case), use the forumla to find D.

A container of liquid sitting on a scale. The liquid displacement gives you volume. The scale gives you pounds which you can convert to mass. Density is derived from both of these.

Flowmeter measures mass, volume, density, and temperature.

July 18, 2002 - PROline Promass 80F multi-variable meter has accuracy for mass flow of ±0.15% in liquids and ±0.5% in gas. Its dual tube F sensor with fully welded design handles operation of maximum fluid temperatures to 400°. Process fittings, welded directly to flow splitter, eliminate need for internal gaskets. Secondary containment is standard, with 230 to 580 psi pressure rating. It offers two-line, backlit display; push-button operation; and self-diagnostic function

density = grams/volume (usually mL or cm3)
mass is usually measured in grams or kilograms on a scale or balance
volume is measured in liters or milliliters, in a graduated cylinder
