So many people find it hard to believe that snow like this is so rare in Denver. Denver is situated in the high desert and is a very dry climate. We normally get some snow in the winter, but it usually warms up and dries out very quickly. It is extremely unusual to get so much snow and cold that it doesn't melt for this long.

Yes, I am VERY sick of the snow and ice. I moved from Boston to get away from winters like this! I hate the ice-packed, totally rutted roads that shake your dentures out every time you drive over them. I'm sick of not finding easy parking spaces downtown, then getting stuck when I try to drive away! I'm sick of my dirty, dirty car with ugly black chucks of ice getting stuck on the bottom! I'm very tired of having to walk carefully down the street so I don't slip and fall on the ice. I'm sick of wearing hats and gloves every day, which I normally don't have to do! I want my nice, sunny warm winter Denver back! WAAAAA!

Castle Rock, 30 Min south of Denver. Yes, it's getting old, but remember all the dry winters. This is just a weird year, not normal. We're better off than the other states with the ice storms and we have more sunshine than any other state

Sorry but I have very little simpathy. Either move to florida or learn to embrace colorado winters(whatever they bring) and stop complaining. nobody is making you stay here and I for one would like if my state had one less whiner. once again, sorry.
