I did. I never cussed really bad, but when I had children, I needed to tone it down. Also, when I became a born again christian, it was really important to me to clean my body, including my mouth.
After awhile, with these silly other words, I knew that deep down, I was really thinking the cuss word. God knows what we are thinking. So I really felt that I was being fake to everyone around me, God, and mostly myself. I am who I am.
I'm a good person. I don't lie, cheat, or steal. If the worse thing that I do is curse a little, then, I'm okay with that, at least I'm not being fake. We all sin everyday. That's mine. I hated feeling so fake though. So, that's my story, hope it helps.

No "potty words" flow nicely from my mouth ... and oh so very easy. My husband is a Marine ... so for the longest time every other word out of his mouth was a bad one ... usually starting with an F. But I must say we have cut back a lot :)

I still curse but only in the bedroom when the kids are a sleep. But when they're awake I say, "Oh Pickles!" From Higley Town Heroes on the Disney Channel.

My New Year's resolution was to stop saying the "f" word so much, so I have been saying dumb things like flippin' and flappin' and franklin and yes it does sound dumb and if I am going off with all of those stupid words I usually get so frustrated that I end up screaming the real "F" word and making it worse then if I had just said it to begin with. It is just a flappin' word, who cares?

I say "a pain in the patootie pockets" instead of "pain in the a s s"...silly, I know. That's only once in awhile though, I usually just let the profanity rip.
