Dump the Dodge. These vehicles have a history of transmission failures. My neighbor went through three trannys with his before he had enough and got rid of it. What's causing it to get messed up so many times is Chrsyler Corp. built a bad transmission and hasn't done squat to correct the problem.

You're probably best off replacing the vehicle. It's ten years old and other things will be going bad soon, any way. The fix for a bad transmission is to replace or rebuild it. They should have replaced the Powertrain Control Module (computer) when they replaced the transmission, because often the PCM would tell the transmission to be in two gears at one time and burn it up. There were updates made to the PCM to correct the problem. If someone was supposed to have changed yours, and didn't do it, AND it's still in warranty (doubtful) they get to fix it for you at their cost. If it's out of warranty it's up to you.

You really haven't given us enough information for an informed answer. If you have put in 3 junk yard transmissions, perhaps they were all bad. If you put in rebuilds, I would hope they had some type of warranty and would be fixed if they failed. If you bought new ones, they surely would stand behind them and make them right. Which was it? I'd buy a new or rebuilt with a good warranty behind it, and be done with it.

sounds like a broken seal on your cv shaft, or a transmission pan seal. If the fluid leaks out when the van is off then it's a seal problem. If it leaks out when the van is running, it's a transmission hose problem. Can you see where it's leaking from?

caravans are know-en for bad trans they say the only way you can make a trans last in a caravan is to change the fluid every 30000 miles and that is a maybe just weak trans sell the thing and get something different if you are tired of putting transmissions in it.

I don't think anyone can give you a definate answer to your problem. There are some sites on line that can point out specific problems encountered with these transaxles and suggest what to do about them.
If you have the 4 speed automatic, you can search "Chrysler A604 transaxle" and get a lot of sites with a lot of good information It was also called a 41TE. A couple of the sites are: , http://www.stratusphere.net/a604info.html , http://www.allpar.com/fix/trans.html & http://www.geocities.com/vantaray/Chry_Trans_Tip.htm Check them out and Good Luck..,
