Perhaps a nursing home, convalescent home or a retirement home in your town would appreciate receiving your old VHS or DVD movies.

Your local public library would love to have your movies. They lend them out to people just like books. Typically, libraries have very little budget to be buying new material because books are so damned expensive. Make sure it's appropriate material.

Any organization that sends DVD's to Iraq for American soldiers. There are many non-profits but I can't remember any right now.

Either Salvation Army or Goodwill will gladly take them.
Many local librarys will as well. If they don't need them, most resell to buy more books/library materials
