Do what Willy said first. Check that there is no disk in the drive.

If you've been using your computer for a while and have not changed anything in CMOS, your boot options should be set correctly.

The next step is to try to boot your computer with a bootable floppy. If you're able to boot up this way, make sure you can see everything on your hard drive. Next remove the bootable floppy and see if you can boot normally. If your computer still does not boot normally, reinstall Windows.

Good day. Go into the bios and make sure your hard drive is being selected in the boot sequence. If so, looks like u have to reinstall windows. If u have important information, take out the hard drive and put it on another computer as a secondary disk and pull out yur information. Then put the hard drive back and reinstall windows. Laterz.

either your MBR is corrupted, or HD failure problem , or disk boot sequence incorrect, verify boot sequence in BIOS, set to HD, if problem re-occurs check to see if you can boot to a CD, if so, your
master boot record is bad which means you need to reinstall windows.
