Amtrak is the fastest way to 30th street station(philly) from NYC. but it is much less expensive to take the regional rails on nj transit to 30th street in Philly then take the septa to the airport.

Easiest way might be to take the train. A local train (Metro?) to Penn Station, NY, then Amtrak to 30th St Station, Philly. From there you take the SEPTA R1 to the airport-a simple 15 minute ride that drops you off at the terminal.

If you are going to take the train you will have to take a couple but they are quick and inexpensive. Go to 34th street (Penn) station in and take the New Jersey Transit train (cheaper then Amtrak) $11.00 one way. Take it to Trenton (last stop). Switch to the R7 (Septa) and take that to 30th street station. hop on the R1 to the airport.

If you are driving. Take the NJ turnpike to the PA turnpike and you can get off at the route 1 exit. Take Rt1 all the way down to the airport. Either that or map quest it. You may be able to take the PA turnpike down closer to the airport.
