Fascism has been and will always be associated with an extreme right-wing ideology. You learn this fact in political science 101. At the extreme-left is communism and at the extreme-right is fascism. Democracy exists in the middle of the two extremes.

Even when there are widespread domestic problems, the military is given a disproportionate amount of government funding, and the domestic agenda is neglected. Soldiers and military service are glamorized. TOP

5. Rampant Sexism -
The governments of fascist nations tend to be almost exclusively male-dominated. Under fascist regimes, traditional gender roles are made more rigid. Divorce, abortion and homosexuality are suppressed and the state is represented as the ultimate guardian of the family institution. TOP

6. Controlled Mass Media -
Sometimes to media is directly controlled by the government, but in other cases, the media is indirectly controlled by government regulation, or sympathetic media spokespeople and executives. Censorship, especially in war time, is very common. TOP

7. Obsession with National Security -
Fear is used as a motivational tool by the government over the masses. TOP

8. Religion and Government are Intertwined -
Governments in fascist nations tend to use the most common religion in the nation as a tool to manipulate public opinion. Religious rhetoric and terminology is common from government leaders, even when the major tenets of the religion are diametrically opposed to the government's policies or actions. TOP

9. Corporate Power is Protected -
The industrial and business aristocracy of a fascist nation often are the ones who put the government leaders into power, creating a mutually beneficial business/government relationship and power elite. TOP

10. Labor Power is Suppressed -
Because the organizing power of labor is the only real threat to a fascist government, labor unions are either eliminated entirely, or are severely suppressed. TOP

11. Disdain for Intellectuals and the Arts -
Fascist nations tend to promote and tolerate open hostility to higher education, and academia. It is not uncommon for professors and other academics to be censored or even arrested. Free expression in the arts and letters is openly attacked. TOP

12. Obsession with Crime and Punishment -
Under fascist regimes, the police are given almost limitless power to enforce laws. The people are often willing to overlook police abuses and even forego civil liberties in the name of patriotism. There is often a national police force with virtually unlimited power in fascist nations.

13. Rampant Cronyism and Corruption -
Fascist regimes almost always are governed by groups of friends and associates who appoint each other to government positions and use governmental power and authority to protect their friends from accountability. It is not uncommon in fascist regimes for national resources and even treasures to be appropriated or even outright stolen by government leaders. TOP

14. Fraudulent Elections -
Sometimes elections in fascist nations are a complete sham. Other times elections are manipulated by smear campaigns against or even assassination of opposition candidates, use of legislation to control voting numbers or political district boundaries, and manipulation of the media. Fascist nations also typically use their judiciaries to manipulate or control elections. TOP

Any day now, hello. Our troubles are here too,s.s. # $$$-$$-$$$$; they just haven't manifested themselves yet!

I don't know where you have been, but they are going to be kicking doors in here. Obviously, quite a few million haven't read a newspaper, internet source of current domestic events, or heard of one recently passed bill.

Furthermore, due to the John. W. Warner Defense Authorization Act of 2006, the President can now declare Martial Law due to a disaster, terror threat, civil unrest etc. The police/military are going to imprison and/or kill whomever they deem is a threat by orders. The Supreme Court, nor Congress can stop him. Read it for yourself. This bill is not our only problem. There are others that have preceded this one and more to follow which are also going to cause us ALL very serious problems in the very NEAR future. These powers also extend to the future Presidencies. Got that?!

You need to realize the reality and scope of the situation at hand here. All of us are going to be looking for help and needing the other when martial law and tyranny take over. This is NOT a joke!

WAKE UP, Please, be aware of what is, and has happened here!!!

I guess being from Atlanta it makes me think of things that others are not familiar with. They had a contest to design a flag for Atlanta and voted by telephone. The winner, published in the Atlanta Urinal & Constipation, was a black hand with a black dagger raised in a stabbing position over a prone female. That brought an end to that idea right away.

Are you aware that the military is not required to follow an unlawful order? In fact, they are required to disobey such an order and report it. Are you aware that there is a difference in kicking down a door to grab a Jew and kicking down a door to grab a terrorist? Or are you saying they are one and the same? If that is the case, I challenge you to find a Jewish Iraqi terrorist. The main difference in the two is a terrorist kills people (which is why his door is being kicked down) and a Jew is just a private citizen.

I suggest you rectify your rectal-cranial inversion. Maybe study a little history (especially if you are going to compare Bush to Hitler).

I noticed you said "our", which leads me to believe you are a U.S. citizen. I find it interesting that you continue to pay taxes, enjoy the social, political, and civil benefits this nation offers, and yet you believe the U.S. to employ "Gestapo forces" and to be lead by a "Reich's Furher". It seems like you are weak morally to criticize an, in your view, evil nation, and yet support it financially through your tax money. Using your language, Himmler and Heydrich appreciate your loyalty and continued support. What do you think?
