Who says they do?
I know lots of guys who don't "need" women.

Goes back to the bible. God made Adam and saw that it was good but He noticed Adam was lonely. So He decided to make Adam a mate from his own rib which symbolizes man and woman becoming one flesh when they get married. Women complete men in a sense.

Men don't need woman. Instead, we strongly desires them. And for this strong desire we seek them out. But, if one's desire isn't that strong, women aren't necessary. A lot of women will disagree with this.
