Yes, you will like living in Los Angeles and Southern California. There are lots of museums and attractions. Don't forget the Southwest Museum in Pasadena: about Native Americans. Lots of Art museums, there is a giant Buddha in L.A., Disneyland/California Adventure, Universal Studios Tour, etc. The Beach, the mountains, the real desert. You are close to Las Vegas. You can fly cheaply to San Francisco! The area is very diverse! You could take everything from Spanish to sign language to Vietnamese at night school and THEN have someone to practice with next door almost! The weather is cool in the winter, or you can have warm days. The nights are never warm in the winter. You can have frost on your car. It does rain and there can be landslides. L.A. is a desert actually, less humidity so 70 F. cam actually feel cool to those who have lived there a while. Beverly Hills is a relatively low crime area. Traffic can be avoided a bit if you don't drive during the rush hour. The air pollution has actually decreased the past 20 years. I suggest you do it. As I always say, L.A. is great as long as you have a job, food, clothes and a place to live. As a nanny you will have it.

What type of entertainment are you looking for? If you are looking for a dinner show, try Medieval Times in Buena Park, near Knotts Berry Farm.

How about the Hollywood and Vine? Serving on the quiet fringe of Hollywood's man attractions--the Hollywood and Vine is located at the corner of Hollywood and Vine. Just minutes from Gromman's and the reputable studios the H&V serves-up fun for all ages.

Johnny Rockets has swing dancers when they aren't too busy. Bobby McGee's in Brea has all their servers in "character" and they occasionally put on a show of some sort.
