That was supposed to "child proof". Ha!

I believe this was an early attempt at child proofing the windows, so that the kids could not injure themselves or climb out. Seems to be the same reason why the rear windows only go down partially in newer models.

i'm also in California, and that i understand what you mean, this previous week has been warm!!! I do roll down the homestead windows in my motor vehicle each so often, or I start up my motor vehicle and enable the air conditioner run for about 5 minutes previously we get in the motor vehicle. yet i do not imagine there is any difficulty w/rolling down the homestead windows...even on the line. and that i word if I face my air vents up in the route of the ceiling of the motor vehicle the it receives cooler quicker, or perchance I only wanna have self assurance that lol...
