I just can't figure out why America has supported him for so long. Has he done anything for America? Lets put Iraq aside for the moment. I am from New Zealand, a country that has no nuclear power stations, nuclear weapons, have a female Prime minister who has been in term for 9 years, have no security issues(as we dont support Iraq) and are living happily at the 'bottom' of the world wonder why your country has gotten itself into a state as this.

Well,
1.He went to war to destroy what he called terrorism and now Osama Bin Ladins Dreams are coming true, day by day more Iraqis and Afghans are supporting Bush's enemies.
2.He went into 2 safe countries, now 1 is having a civil war and the other is collapsing financially and both countries suffer from every way you can imagine.
3.He spend over 400 billion and the American people that suffered from Katrina are still living on the streets without shelter, kind of makes you think who he values more.
4.He now gave America the worst reputation and destined all What Mr. Clinton tried to do; Mr. Bush cannot go to 1 country with the people having protests to his arrival.
5.He is making allot of good friends like Mr. Nouri Almalki who meets Muqtada Alsader every other week, by the way, Muqtada Alsader killed allot more then Osama and all the other groups in Iraq, his militias kill an estimated 150 Sunni Iraqis daily.

I guess Mr. Bush seems these as accomplishments.

There aren't any let alone 5 good things that Bush has done.

He HAS destroyed the Bill of Rights, Civil liberties, Geneva Convention and the one which he should be impeached for...destroying the Constitution.

The reason for this mess is the radical right which has been taken on a roller coaster ride because of Bush. He sweet talks them to get the votes, and then he doesn't do anything for them. But the radical right is easily misled because of the nature of their beliefs. Don't believe me, take for instance the person who stood behind Bush until Bush started to talk down to the Religious right behind their backs. His name is David Kuo, author of the book entitled Tempting Faith: An Inside Account of the Rise of Christian Conservatives. Rove and Bush called the Religious right "nuts" and "out of control."

The better question is What has New Zealand done for mankind to further the cause of freedom and democracy?

You people raise some excellent sheep but beyond that what have you really done for your fellow man?

number one he was elected as President of the strongest country on earth.
number two he was elected a second time as President of USA.
number three -- he survived the political ups and downs despite his unpopularity and unpopular views.
number four -- he is serving his country best as he knows best.
number five -- he could call it "off" and live happily in his ranch with ways and means at his disposal yet he is 24 hrs. on the job...and for that alone you have to take your hat off and I do mine too. Think about it.

He is funny to listen to, but the reality of his actions are sobering. I am from Texas, and I don't know anyone that speaks like him. And what is that stupid smirk about?

They came first for the Communists,
and I didn't speak up because I wasn't a Communist.
Then they came for the Jews,
and I didn't speak up because I wasn't a Jew.
Then they came for the trade unionists,
and I didn't speak up because I wasn't a trade unionist.
Then they came for the Catholics,
and I didn't speak up because I was a Protestant.
Then they came for me,
and by that time no one was left to speak.
do you get it?
