My boyfriend, my roommate and myself are all on a lease til the end of January. He has someone staying with us and they're real a**holes. They steal their groceries from safeway and alcohol and throw parties 24/7 and im sick of it. He already has two complaints against him what would happen if i told our manager hes had someone living with us for over a month???

You could always ring and check with your agent. You have a right to know. It is not right if they have had them there for more than 30 days. That is how long i am allowed to have someone stay at my rental without having to give notice. Your agent will agree with you that you have done the right thing in letting them know if they aren't on the lease. They will most likely evict the 'roommate' that is letting your friend stay aswell so be prepared for that finacially first. Remember its YOUR, and YOUR PARTNERS name on the lease aswell, you will get the equal blame for any complaints neighbours make, or if they damage the property. Also are they paying there fair share of RENT, GROCERIES, ELECTRICITY, GAS, and any other bills you have??? if not you would definatley have a case. Good luck xoxo

No, your roommate can't just add someone to the lease without you and your boyfriend executing it as well.

But you have a problem: If you were to tell your landlord about the situation, he could question you about why you allowed this guy to move in with you and remind you that you are also responsible for him being there. You may not like it, but you and your boyfriend have a certain responsibility to deal with these issues when they come up. If your lease is until the end of January, your best option may be to suck it up until the lease expires, them either boot the roommate or find another apartment.

He cannot put someone on the lease without you being present. You need to sit down and talk to your roommate and tell him that it has to stop. Dont let him take advantage of you guys.

She does have rights, so which you will not be waiting to legally throw her out. enable me ask you this: If she paid on time, grew to alter right into a sprint neater, and larger friendly, could you be chuffed to enable her stay? if so, then definitely certainly one of you're arranged to have a verbal replace with you. without blame, or putting forward the % to throw her out, why do not you tell her that her late cost and her messiness is inflicting some small subject concerns and ask her to pay on time and %. up after herself. Moodiness is stressful to deal with, yet i hit upon that persons tend to respond actually mutually as each physique is to them. you ought to definitely have a house assembly and impose new "rules" on each physique approximately mutually as hire is due and what the guidelines are for conserving the situation sparkling. Then she would be able to not experience singled out. it variety of feels to me that she isn't the only one inflicting drama indoors the living homestead. Her subject concerns seem minor, and the 1st element you all attempt to do is located her out on the line? Come on!
