He's not my top choice but I'd gladly take Obama as president. For now my favorite presidential contendors are General Wesley Clark and Governor Bill Richardson.

Bill Richardson by a landslide.
Reasons why (copied from another one of my answers):
Richardson has repeatedly shown his ability to negotiate and work across party lines. He is pragmatic and easily wins votes and hearts. He is charismatic and has a down-home, friendly and warm persona.
His unrivaled success on the international stage as a Congressman, UN Ambassador, and hostage negotiator(Even GWB has called on his services!) have shown his ability to navigate our complicated world. Just recently, he was a major player in securing a 60-day ceasefire in Darfur.
His service as Two-term Governor of New Mexico and Secretary of Energy gives him the executive experience the job demands, as well as energy policy know-how needed to address our current energy woes.
Electorally, we can expect record Hispanic turnout (Not all Hispanics are illegals; plenty are voting, American citizens). As the popular Governor of New Mexico, he can easily take the West and Southwest, a total of 50-some electoral votes. His moderate views can win him undecideds and moderate Republicans, especially if it comes down to Mccain or Romney (Mccain is hated in many circles and some are uncomfortable with a Mormon candidate).
Overall, Bill Richardson is clearly our best shot at breaking the tradition of white males in the White House.

I would like to see Obama as president, but I think McCain or Guiliani will be president in 2008 and Obamma in 2012.

Light years ahead of bush.More common sense, more intelligent. He has less time in the government to become corrupted like the rest of them there.
I think overall he is more down to earth and still in touch with the common people.Surely beats the hell out of Hillary.

Honestly, I do not know who Im going to vote for. Im not votingn for Obama. He is for abortion, doesnt have a defense strategy, is for higher taxes (our economy is fine except the debt, lets focus on debt right now) and doesnt have a strategy yet for illegal immigration. He doesnt have much Congressional experience either. The Dems are just hyped up too much about him for publicity reasons, I dont think he will be the Dem nominee.

I imagine I'm going to get some thumbs down on this...but I like Al Gore. Now, I KNOW he won't run. But it's wishful thinking.
