The breeches are Georg Schumacher, and the contents list: 79% nylon, 18% Rayon, 3% Lycra. I'm not sure if it is real leather or fake leather, because the contents don't say. They are about five years old, and are the ribbed style. I'm mostly wondering if the seat is real leather or fake, and if anyone has tried dyeing their breeches, and the outcome.

Update: I'm dying them because they are no longer white but had changed to a cream. I went ahead and dyed them using Rit Navy dye, and am very happy with the results. I followed the instructions, and used a leather washing detergent and they turned out great!

Why are you dying them??? White ones usually cost at least $20 more than the colored ones, I believe due to dressage only allowing white in competition. I would just buy a new pair of breeches.

even as it truly is a own selection - the alternative between knee patch or complete seat breeches is likewise guided by your driving self-discipline. those who journey hunt seat or jumper have a tendency to placed on knee patch breeches (it truly is to really pop out of the saddle into jumping position and performance grip the position mandatory - in the knees). those who journey Dressage have a tendency in the route of complete seat (they opt for to stay in close contact with the saddle and the pony). With a restricted funds - i'd bypass with the knee patch breeches and in case you opt for/choose extra grip then get a suede seat conceal on your saddle.

Sorry, they won't dye. You can only dye natural fabrics. You may be able to dye the leather, if it's real.

You could try getting newer ones on ebay.

Good luck.
