Of course I can tell the difference between the serious and the not so serious answers, BUT Holy Crapping Crap! Are we in trouble in this Country or what?? How long before we have a civil war here again??

Yes, we are in trouble. Yes, we are coming closer and closer to a civil war. No, that is not just because of questions and answers that we see here on this website but thanks to much other information. The Democrat Party is getting more staunchly liberal while the Republican Party is getting more staunchly conservative. Both sides are getting more adamant in their insistance that certain topics which they hold near and dear to their hearts are not open to compromise -- because it is always about "human rights" and no one ever compromises, ever again, with "human rights."

I am concerned that SOME people are uninformed, uneducated, practice racism and/or hate or are completely intolerant of other opinions. I am saddened by a lot of name-calling I see on this site. But we are no more divided today than at a lot of other times in our nation's history, perhaps a lot LESS than most other times. We will pull together and find answers to the issues most affecting our country. What exactly do you think we are going to have a civil war over?

America has some issues at this time but we are a country that survives. We are the most powerful country on this planet and I suspect it's because we are doing more right than wrong!
