assuming that says solve for x -
you factor it to (4x+1)(x+1)=0
4x+1=0 x+1=0
4x=-1 x=-1
x=-1/4

so x = -1 and x - -1/4

(4x+1)(x+1) = 0

x = to either -1 or -(1/4)
