For doing his job as the President of the USA, President Bush is paid USD US 400, 00 per annum. This is supplemented by USD 50000 per annum as expense account, USD 100000 towards non-taxable travel, USD 19,000 per annum towards official entertainment and of course free housing. Free housing in this case is the White House, which consists of 132 rooms, 32 bathrooms, a movie theatre, a bowling alley, a billiards room, tennis courts, a jogging track and putting greens. He also gets to utilize the facility of Camp David, the Presidential retreat and these are some of the benefits that go with the job of course.

It was not too long ago when the Presidents salary was only USD 200, 000 per annum. The last pay hike was in 1969 when it was doubled from USD 100000 to USD 200000 per annum and only recently has it been doubled again to USD 400000 per annum (adjusting for inflation for USD 200000 in 1969, it should actually be USD 903, 232 though, as per reports).

GOD bless us, always.

Well it's a lot less than most professions ... consider what the top entertainers & sports people make .. and no one relies on them to make a decision that will affect an entire nation .... maybe if the pay were better we'd choose more wisely and make sure they could prove their worth ?
