my boyfriend has been devoriced for 2 years and presently lives with me his ex wife is threating to take him to court for cohabitation. what can they make him do?

She can't take him to court for 'cohabitation.' That's the silliest thing I've ever heard. She's just jealous of your relationship. They are divorced and it's none of her business what he does with his life, unless they have children. She could take him to court for sole custody of their children for living with you outside of wedlock. She probably wouldn't win, because adultery isn't against the law and millions of people live with mates but aren't married, even with children in the house, right or wrong.
