i have yahoo messenger .dat files to open but cant.... how can i open them without having to go online thru the screen name?

The following application opens Winmail.dat files. It may work with the .dat file that you're trying to open.

You can't because different .dat files have different thing. .dat is really a data file. Some have music, some have pics, etc.

You should not open .dat files you might probably cause an error

Right-click on the file. Choose the option that let's you choose what program you want to open the file with. Eg. Open With...
Choose notepad or wordpad. That's all...Good luck!
