It is amazing,magical breathtaking, and cheap.
It has the craziest taxi's in the world but excellent drivers.The people are so helpful and extra friendly,but you have to get used to bargaining.Average prices coke,2.50LE,2lts of water 2LE,a must have at all times.bag of crisps or chips 75 piastre.A good hotel 4 star 35$Aust.,restaurant meal 60LE.It is perfectly safe,trust me and 1,000s of others.
Places you must see are: The Citadel,the Giza plateau pyramids and Sphinx.The Cairo Museum and a visit to downtown and Khan el Khalili for shopping.To something unique visit old Cairo and Islamic
Cairo. There is just so much to see and do. If you have the chance you must go to Luxor.The most historic city and most unique in the world.
I had such a good time on my first visit I am now studying Egyptology and going to Egypt a few times a year to act as a tour guide.I am Australian.
Believe me you will love it!

You know i went to Egypt about 13 years ago i was still at school and my mum didnt think i would like it.. but it was in fact the best holiday i ever had.. i learnt more history in two weeks then i did in my whole school life.. i only went to "upper Egypt" which is actually in the south (a bit irish lol) so i didnt see the pyrmids, but we took a cruise down the nile from luxor to aswan and back.. it was great.. you must go they have a saying "go today as it might not be there tomorrow"

It might be a little shock for you because of the cultural difference, but that's only really if you live in the west! I am egyptian but live outside of Egypt and i love Egypt! It's great for chillin and relaxing and most people there are soo friendly..I hope you have a nice time in Egypt..if you do go!
