I wouldn't assume rejection. Wait 4-5 days, call them, tell them you left a resume there and was just checking in to see if someone looked at it yet or whatever the case may be, call them first to get the scoop though. Never assume, stuff comes up and such. GOOD LUCK on the job hunt

You should wait for a reply for maybe a week most...but don't stop there or assume anything (when you assume you make an "*** of u & me") You should definately follow through with the company you applied for. Maybe the hiring staff or manager hasn't had a chance to get around to your paperwork (or any if that) and has been really busy if they have been understaffed etc. Give them a call or better yet, go up to the place dressed nice and walk with confidence and try to speak to someone in charge of hiring such as HR (human resources) or a manager.
Last fall, I had applied to Best Buy online and for some reason my application didn't go through-which I found out when I went up to the store and talked to the hiring manager....it was one of those online computer generated applications with 50 questions all multiple choice. Which most are misleading and confusing.
Anyways I did the application online again for best buy and I called and followed up again to make sure my application had gone through that time and it did and I was set up for an interview immediately..and a week later after my drug test I was hired and starting in orientation.
Same with my current job at a hotel...they took forever to get back to me but i was persistent with it and have been working there several months now.

So Follow up, and if they don't show any interest then...you will know they arent interested. If you don't qualify they might even give you an explanation. Good Luck on the Job Hunt...

The moment you assume control is the moment we laugh secretly knowing that you are another control freak which is why you girls sit in deep thought about why the relationship went to ruin and he started dating some younger, sexier blonde or brunette. If you treat us like dogs, then a dog we shall become!

Always keep searching. Don't wait for a response. When a response comes along follow-up on it. But keep looking.
