My Aunt was shot and killed in a convienent store robery 22 years ago, and I was wondering if there would be any way on the web to research this, If there is a chance that there is information on a case that happened that long ago. I know the county in which it happened and I know some of the details sounding the death, but I would like to know more about it, she was a favorite Aunt but a lot of the family does not talk about it because it is a hush hush thing very hurtful which is understandable, but I would like to know more about the case itself. Can someone please help me.

Serious answers please.

You could also look up county records online, and go back to the date that it happened. You might even be able to check out police records. That is the best bet.

You can go to the Newspaper that was in circulation in that particular town, research obituaries, and articles on the murder. Some newspapers don't go back that far though, so....Your second resource is the local public library in the town she died in. They DO have old news articles on file on a system called microfish. You may be able to research it that way. Also some police keep records of such things on line if the case has been solved..... Good Luck!

Try a google search with your aunt's name, listings that were in the paper should come up along with the story of the murder. Generally they have newspaper clippings and stuff you can find. Good Luck.
