The people of Cairo and Alexandria are very liberal and tolerant.
So long as you don't go preaching about your belief and lifestyle, you will have no problem.
I am Australian and we often have gay people on the tours.I have seen a few pentangles hanging around necks as well.
As you are aware homosexuality is not thought acceptable in a country were most of the population are Muslim.
Although it is common for young Egyptian men and women to walk hand in hand this has nothing to do with sexuality. So I would not take that as an okay we can do it too.
Just be your selves.I'm sure you are not going to run around calling out "Look at me, I am gay and a witch"!
You would properly just be ignored as if you didn't exist.
Egyptians are very good at the cold stare of distane.
Or you could end up in a fight like in any Western Country.
Just be cool about it and it will be okay.

I personally love your religion. It sounds like something I can eat. Make sure you bring along lots of whatever it is you worship, I will eat it .

"No offence dude, I was just kidding. Wicca is a traditional Egyptian meal here, and Egyptians LOVE verbal jokes. They will laugh abt this thing over and over and over. I know that most western cultures don't admire verbal jokes, but we admire them. Here is onething for u to learn abt Egyptians.
ok. abt homosexuality. We are absloutely NOT tolerant to that. It's better for , whoever is , to not declare that. It doesn't mean that he will be sent to jail or something. But it is something that is so much frowned upon and he or she will be very much annoyed.
As for the religion part, I think nobody will care much if you don't go on talking about it. I think religion is something between you and your , God, and you don't have to declare that to any one anyway. Again, you will not be sent to jail or anything if people found out. It is just frowned upon.

Cheers and have a nice time.

Religion wise, noone, and I mean NOONE will tell you anything about it. You can have a God, a dozen or none. Maybe deep in our minds we'll think you're wrong or whatever, but nobody will comment or tell you anything in this regard.

Homosexuality is a whole other issue. It can't be said. Why's that? Because when you have another religion, you don't harm ours. So there's no problem of us getting upset. But when you perform homosexual acts or whatever you harm our religion and traditions. And that we can't accept.

honestly, a homosexual -in our perspective- is a perv.
and for the religion thing, most ov us won't really care whether you're a wiccan or even a pagan...it doesn't really matter..
