I personally think it would depend on the age of the deceased and the circumstances of the death. A popular song at this time is Vince Gill.....Go Rest High, however that song is best played for someone who had a troubled life, usually some type of addiction. Mercy Me........I can only imagine is popular in any circumstance.Kenny Chesney.....When I get where I'm Going is also appropriate at any funeral.Eric Clapton.....Tears In Heaven is great also. Peace In The Valley can be found by a variety of singers. Sorry For Your Loss.

There aren't any certain sounds that are necessarily good. What songs did this person like? What do you think the person would of wanted you to play? I personally think "I Will Remember You" (Sarah Mclaughlin) is an appropriate song for any funeral however.
