is there a way you can find out who someone has on their buddy list on AIM

Yes and No. No in the sense that you can't see and know who the person has on their buddy list. Yes in the sense that if you want to know if that person has you on their buddy list, you can IM them when they're away and if their away message shows up immediately, then you're on their buddy list. Normally, if you're not on their buddy list, a pop up will occur asking them if they want to accept messages from you. If they're away, they won't be able to accept or decline and their away message never shows up. But then again, this defeats the purpose of secretly finding out if you're on this person's buddy list or not, haha.
