All this happened when CWeb was walkin to the Palace and he stepped in a jellatnous substance. He looked down and saw that 84 had been carved into it. he looked at his shoes and found not 84 marking... so he went with 84...

Who knows? I know # 4 is already retired by Joe Dumars himself. I don't know why players go with unusual jersey numbers like 91, 93, and now 84.
