To make my question clear, movies such as Epic Movie (parodizing fantasy/pop cult. movies), Date Movie (parodizing every chick flick or anything movie involving dating), Not Another Teen Movie (obviously parodizing teen movies), and Scary Movie series (parodizing horror films) are starting to tread water when it comes to being considered humorous. Do you think that making another movie parodizing another genre of movies is a little petulant to the extent of so many already came out this decade? I do not know about you, but please say yes or no, and explain why because descriptions do not count for me (basically not good enough reason). So speak your words of reason.

Well, I think they can potentially be offense to film makers/producers, and I don't think they're funny. A lot of them like Date Movie, were extremely inappropriate. I thought that Date Movie shouldn't have been rated PG13, because of the extreme sexual content. I was very disappointed with it, and I don't think they should be made anymore.

While ever there are dating movies, teen movies, horror, w/e there will always be someone out there willing to parody them.
its obviously for the entertainment value, and to 'rip off' what we've seen in a comedic way.
I find that I didnt get alot of the jokes from movies like Scary movie, having never really been a horror fan so i've missed all the movies that Scary movie was parodying. I still found it funny though

Yes they need to stop making such trash. The same people who find these movies humorous are sames ones that enjoy MAD tv.
Not only are they an insult to all that watch it but the saddest part is that these movies really sell. Are movie directors running that low on ideas, Oh wait. Yes they are, nearly every movie this year has been a remake/retelling/based on book. No wonder Youtube.com is so big. those movies are actually something different.

Heck! I think they should make parody movies of parody movies. Keep going until we get so sick of TV and movies that we boycott the whole thing until they make something that does not insult my intelligence. Some of them are funny though! You have to admit that!

Some of those movies are just rediculous, its as if they'll do anything just to tease any part of that movvie but on the other hand there are some parts that are just so darn funny....so its a cool way to relax, so ide say they should make those movies cause its a cool way to relax!

Yes - the concept is worn, tired and old! Need to move on and start creating more real movies.

paradoy movies just keep coming. it used to be mel brooks and leslie nielson. now it's the wayans and whoever else does those pieces of garbage. i get a kick out of seeing clips of these movies, but rarely do i find myself getting psyched up and running to a theatre to see them. most of them are annoying and unfunny.
