I think true love is when the two people can be themselves around each other and try to make each other happy as much as possible. I think its impossible to make somebody happy the whole time but most of the time is good enough :)

True love should be about always wanting to make the other person happy but always doing what you think is right. I'd sacrifice myself for my love's happiness, I doubt that would make her very happy though, but I still have my morals that she has to repect and vice versa.

Love is about someone who is closer to you than anyone else ever was. Love should always be about putting that person, or persons in the case of family love, above yourself and all others.

Love, like most of life, involves an extraordinary amount of compromise. Just because you love someone doesn't mean you've found a magic genie who will grant never ending wishes and wants. There are priorities and conflicting desires that stand in the way of the utopia you propose. (But it's a nice thought!)

No, Dear One, sometimes Love means you have to say NO once and awhile (my god, I'm channelling my Mother, bless her...) Truckinotter and I know that after 26 years. Sometimes pleasure has to be put aside for the more mundane things like bills and such. That makes her happy and in turn that makes me happy (although I'd much rather go to the movies...) Get the picture? Blessings.

Love means never having to say "quit messing with my mind!". Anyone who actually loves you would never suggest anything of the sort.

There is no such thing as "true love." Love is an emotion, and all emotions have the capacity to change.
