How to look emo?

I like emo stle.it is really cool.but i don't really know how to dress like a emo.please help

Yeah, I am not at all Emo, but was just having this conversation the other day with a friend. What consititutes an Emo person and what are their character traits/mannerisms. I would say to check out either:

Hot Topic(a bit gothy, but still emo)
Urban Outfitters

I mean you can't necessarily classify this style through a given wordrobe. It is more about the mentality that goes along with it. Ohhhhh...my life is painful....ohhhh.....my existance is so bleak. Ohhhh where is my paxil.....I can't go on because my girlfriend dumped me and my internet is down so I can't use AIM. Once you grasp this mindset the wordrobe will just come to you. However, I would not encourage it.

Style isn't about being Goth, Preppy, Punk, Emo, or Gangsta. You need to go to stores and shop for what interests you. That is all. Find things that you like and own your own unique style. That is what I do and it works pretty well.

First off there's nothing wrong with emo people, they just look at the world and life differently. Seccondly there isn't really a style, its just get up put clothes and make-up on and then go to school. Ya tend to weare a lot of band shirts and dark tight or straight leg pants. Well if youre more girly then you should get a pair of awesome crazy patterned leggings and a couple of skirts (i love the destroyed ones) Rave, Pac Sun, and Hottopic are good stores to find clothes. okay first of all, the first thing you have to understand about jumping into any scene is, that you have to go through your
"poser" days, every good emo kid, has ben, an "poser" at one point or another, because you don't just jump into it! you have to learn the dos and the donts, you have to earn your glory, so you just have to understand that, your gonna be called a poser for mabey a year or so, before your excepted by the "real" kids, like, I recently moved, and all middle school, im gonna come out with it, i was a poser, but then i moved, and when i started 9th grade, i didnt even have to look for friends they came to me, because I knew what was going on, I knew where you find the best bands, and not just by watching fuse, i knew where to find the best clothes { CERTAINTLY NOT HOTTOPIC!!! I REAPEATE NO HOTTOPIC!!!], i know all the tricks of the trade and it is your turn now to learn them all, if you stick with me, you can ask me any question, about how to be a REAL kool kid, and not just what these iggnorant Y!A? people say. With your haircut, get some bangs and dye it jet black, go short, thats the kool emo thing, if you get it done. tell your lady real short and razor it, that makes it look real good. GREASY HAIR IS NOT EMO HAIR!!!! probably the most important thing about this lesson, is that being emo, does not mean to be, depressed or self destructive please promise me that you wont hurt your self for a stupid scene! its not that important

Labels are stupid but since people like them so much. I'll tell you a little story of how Emos were created:

Some Preps and Goths got together and had kids. They created a new sub-culture called Emo. This evolved rapidly as the Emos started breeding with each other, and of course more goth and preps started breeding with each.

Then some emos would evolve themselves to become other subcultures such as Indie.

Poser. Don't TRY to be emo. If you're not emo, then you're not. and this business with people with being EMO, it's like being depressed or some other thing...People who just DRESS emo err, whatever are stupid. I'm not saying the style is stupid, but it's something people SHOW because of their emotions..not because a perfectly normal person wants to be emo.

WHOA there, dont go emo, I WAS emo but I hated being all sad and the look was hidious. I hated it cause it looked awfull on me. Dont try and copy people cause you like the look. Trying to be somthing that you arnt doesnt work out. I found that out soonley cause I had went Indie and I prefer being Indie over emo. Try somthing unique and different from everybody else. And just be you, and being you can bring out the best in you and everybody else.

how to look emo:i don't like the emo look but i'm the fashion expert so i'll help ya lol.its very similar to the goth look.its just trying to look shy & weird.so wear armbands and wristbands and weird & dark jewelry.you should also change your hair so you can hardly see your face and eyes.bangs work.get color streaks in your hair as well.get some fake piercings.u can also get fake stick-on cuts btw but i would'nt try that cause it would freak ppl out.wear a black messenger bag.get some henna tatoos or fake blood...wear red or black lipstick and nail polish.the emo colors are red & black and sometimes grey.wear heavy eyeshadow and eyeliner.

eww grose don't act or look emo. It is like completely stupid. Those ppl don't even diserve to live they don't do anything with there lifes and they don't appriciate what they have. And you can't look emo you are totally like sterio typing it emo is like being sad all the time you don't need all the shitty black eyeliner. You are so scene.
