In the serious just started on Abc 1(185) in the episode mended hearts. at the end there is a man laughing at melinda. who is this man???? i think its for a story line further into the season???? help

EXCUSE ME !!!! GHOSTWHISPERER HAS JUST STARTED ON ABC1........
I KNOW WHAT I'M TALKING ABOUT I'VE JUST WATCHED IT.
the man i wearing a suit and is sitting on a chair at a cafe3 and melinda looks at him and he stands up and laughs in a spooky way. the a bus drives by and he dissapears BETTER NOW

dont want to tell you to much,or it will spoil it for you

I really don't want to ruin things too much for you by, needless to say, this man is a sign that not everyone in the 'ghostly realm' are pleased about Melinda's gifts for helping the dead move on.
You're watching what is a rather early episode of season one and yes, this man is important as the season develops and I don't doubt he will play a larger role in the series in general.

The "man" is some kind of evil spirit. He tries to gather souls by keeping them from crossing over. They refer to him as "wide brim man" and he starts to appear in the episodes. By the end of Season 1, Melinda is fully aware of him and his real goal.
