My doctor wanted to try a progesterone challenge also known as the provera challenge to see if i have any withdraw bleeding ok so i am on my last pill and she gave me 7..At the moment i still have not had an withdraw bleeding and i'm not sure wen i can expect any bleeding, I read up on this and it says"make sure you consult your doctor if you have late withdraw bleeding..well how late is late???? and It also said if i do bleed im just experiencing chronic annovulation whic is PCOS, so is that true if you do bleed then i have it or is that just one of the possibilites..I dont think i have it, i have not one of the symptoms, only thing i have is i stopped having a period..My husband and i would like to try and conceive..also how good is metformin if your wanting to conceive??because my doctor might want to put me on it, she is very hestitant towards putting me on clomid(don't know why, i would like to get on it)..please elp me out 21+ please

After taking the last tablet of provera you should expect a bleed in 2-7 days but up to 14 is normal but long. PCOS is not just chronic anovulation--it's a host of symptoms. If you bleed from the provera it does not indicate pcos, it just indicates you have low progesterone. Metformin for TTC is for women with PCOS with insulin resistance and if you don't believe you have it then the met will do nothing for you. Clomid or other ovulation induction drugs are really about your only choice.
