Yes, the 1942 divorce rate was 14.2% per 1000 over a (10) year period, compared to 51.3% per 1000 in 2005

Yes. It was more difficult than now but nevertheless possible and even common among celebrities of the day. (Charlie Chaplin divorced Mildred Harris in 1920, Leta Gray in 1930 and Paulette Goddard in 1942)

People have been getting divorces since the biblical days. 1942 did not change that.

Yes, you could get a divorce in 1942. It was frowned upon in those days, but you could do it.

yes in 1942 was a legal process in the US. much more difficult however. more legal entanglements in that there wasn't any "no fault". as a matter of fact in some instances, women would go and establish residence in Reno Nevada for x amount of time, live there and get divorced there. from some citites they had Reno express trains for the divorce bound.

Yes you could but it was looked down upon back then . And only white people could get divorces back then because blacks had no rights and they were still segregated . You might want to put that in your paper . good luck and I hope I helped.
