Charlotte is a beautiful name! well, I always liked the Idea of feminine names that can have a boy-ish nickname... my neices are named samantha and alexandra, so, we call then Sam and Alex. I am pregnant, and if I find out it will be a girl, it will be Danica.. Dani for short! :) so, Charlie is cute! stay away from the name Lottie.. I could probably make fun of it some way if i was a bully. Char is okay as well. congratulations!!! and good luck! :)

One of my wife's daughter's is named Charlotte. The name is french in origin and means "petite and feminine". We have always called her Cha. I knew another Charlotte years ago that liked to be addressed as "Lottie". As for a middle name, pick something cool. Lots of people are embarrassed of their middle names because they're some goofy family name that the parents at least knew better than to give as a 1st name.

I knew a lady one time named Charlotte, and she always went by "Char". Just so you know that there are people out there that do shorten it... As for middle name, it kind of depends on your last name. At least if you go with Charlotte, then you can always use a more common middle name with out it seeming bland i.e. "ann". Good luck!
