OKay, I bought a friends baby (the baby was 3 months at the time and about 16 pounds) an outfit and a baby robe that said on each tag 0-6 months how long can a child wear that? Im not use to one piece of clothing for a baby to fit 0-6 months because babies grow, but I have seen tags that said 0-3 months on it or 3-6 months on it but 0-6 months now thats new to me. Please give me an answer or an imput. Were these items that were 0-6 months worth the money or just a waste of money?

Probably a waste of money.... not so much for the size, but because a robe is kind of useless before a baby can stand and run around the house.

I think that the 0-6 months is kind of like saying 'one size fits all' for infants. Babies grow out of clothes so quickly... even if they intentionally put the baby in the outfit... he'll probably only wear it a couple times before he grows out of it. It's always a safer bet to buy a size much larger than the age of the baby. Sizes vary between brands and the shape of the baby's body. Always think about what season it will be when the child is that size!! Shorts and a t-shirt are no good in the winter.

It's 0-6 months because it's a robe. There's more flexibility. There' no real torso limit, no real stomach size limit, no real length limit. For some reason, babies now-a-days are all bigger than the tags. Many 3 month old babies are in 6-9 month clothes. The baby will fit in it for a few more months. You did good.

It really depends on the size of the baby. Some babies are in 6 month stuff until 9 months or more, some 3 month old babies are wearing 9 month stuff.

If the child was 3 months old, I would have bought a 6-9 month old outfit.
Always go the next size up.

It may fit only for a little while.... I bought my baby a bath robe that was the same size, at birth. She wore it until she was about 4 months old, than it was too small and tight. Hope that helps.

you really never know just by the size tags. chances are good the outfit will fit for at least a month or two, but sizes are never the same. the bathrobe should fit for longer, since there are no legs to get too short. you should always include a gift receipt if you can, with any gift of clothing.

It will be fine for about 2-3 more months. I always buy a size bigger, though. Baby clothes always run small.
