I'm sorry, but I don't get how to get rid of the exponent.
The problem is, Solve R= s*s(squared, but i can't find that on my keyboard)/A for s to write a formula when R and A are known.

R=s^2/A

Multiply by A.

R*A=s^2

Take the square root.

square root (R*A) = s ( or s=(R*A)^(1/2) )

SO basically, the question is asking to put S in one side of the equation and the rest at another side of the equals sign. to do this you would first have to write out the problem:

r=s^2 (s squaared) / A
multiply by a to get
rA= s^2
then find the sqaure root to get:
the square root of RA = S

The inverse of squaring is square root, so do the square root of each side after you move the A over to the side where R is.

I think that you are asking R = S^2/A... Solve for s.

multiplty both sides by A.
R*A= s^2

then you take the square root of both sides.

(square root of RA) = S

AR = s^2
take the square root of both sides:
sqrt(AR) = s or you can flip it:
