26-27. I think this because at this age you really know who you are and what you want out of life. You can be established in a way that would allow you to relate to someone else in that kind of relationship. But I guess it also depends on other factors, like whether you have already been living together. I know people that seemed so well suited for each other and they have gotten married and been married less than a year before they were split up. I also know people that have co-habitated for years and are perfectly happy without getting married. I seriously think it depends on the people involved.

Somewhere between 25-30.... Hopefully, you've both finished whatever schooling you need. You both have found some stable career direction, and a decent salary to pay off the student loans and still be able to put some food on the table and keep a roof over your head. By that time you both should have gotten the "I'm young and dumb" out of your systems, and can commit to a serious relationship so both of you can appreciate and respect each other.

Late 20's early 30"s With the experience of life and really having knowledge about what life is about. I have seen marriages break up to often when married young one or the other isn't willing to go the extra mile to make it work. Divorce is to common and a lot of ask for advice from by other young friends that doesn't value marriage and understand what it takes to make it. I think there should be a lot more invested in teaching children about marriage as there growing up.

I got married at 22 (now 24) and I think it was a bit young. I have a good marriage but I had to learn so many things because I married someone 9 years older than me. It is such hard work, I would definetly wait until about 25.

10 years after living with the person you intend to marry.

Why? Because most marriages fall apart because the couples don't know each other very well. The first time somebody leaves the cap off the toothpaste tube and the marriage is off. If you can get through living together for 10 years and still love each other, THEN get married.

Personal experience.

i would day at about age 24, give. by this time you may have graduated college, found a career and stable. i'd say not to wait too late, like 30. you would be on the verge of the end of child bearing years (it's more likely not to concieve after the 30s and the child is more likely to have down's symdrome. anyway, you may also be set in your ways and to hard to get along with or tolerate others.

Well I am 20, and have been with my boyfriend since I was 16. I'd say we're ready. He keeps hinting that he wants to go further, but I hinted that I wasn't ready yet. SO I think it's maybe something you feel once you're ready. The way I figure it is that I already know who I want to be with, why rush into something we have our whole lives to carry out? We have within the next ten years...(we both would like to have kids) You will know when its meant to be.

I got married too young. It's all good now. but I would wait til age 30 or so. I think it's important for women to have a sense of self and what they want to do in their life before getting tied to a man and losing yourself, your dreams.
