seems like so few people even know what wisdom is these days...

i had never before experienced the reality of a third world country, where garbage is thrown in the street and sewage runs openly.
it gave me an entirely new perspective on my own life in the united states. For 90% of the people in guatemala, hot water is an unaffordable luxury.
materialism is a large and powerful force in the western culture, and vain as well. in 200 years who will care how nice your ride was or how much you paid for your sunglasses?
honestly--money and wealth is only one aspect of our existence as humans. there is so much more to life.

I think is the GOOD question asked here. Everyone should take a look at this question and ponder on this question. It's give everyone insight to what's life all about. And people these days live blindly with all the materialistic stuff and numb themselves. If only everyone will stop for a while and think of their live.

My life experience is when I am born, my first question is what am i doing here?

After 20 over years I still can't figure out because life is a journey not a destination. We live, breath, eat and sleep like other animals, it was all part of natural phenomena. We have emotions high and low. Thus, I think life should live in a natural way and not forced to create the world that is to our desire. The world is getting gloomy because of evil thinking existed everywhere.

Peace is the meaning of life..

My Dad died suddenly. Here one minute and literally gone the next. No health problems either. Also my husband being diagnosed with stage 4 non small cell lung cancer and given 6 months if he was lucky to live. He is here 3 years later. Life is too short for arguements, too short for not going through with a plan, and too short to shut people out of our lives. Live each day to the fullest. Make a change in the life of a child with a disability. Most importantly help someone who needs help without looking at their condition, disability, or other issues.

I have seen my mother let men control her and beat her and humiliate her and I think to myself that's not what I want and I want and deserve better and so my life became better than hers. I have a wonderful husband and children, I am treated great and respected. I love my mother to death and she's the greatest, but, I always wished she wouldn't let men treat her like crap and know that she is deserving and not just settle for least. I became a feminist because of what she went through and I saw what I don't want, even though I have a couple of sisters that followed in my mom's footsteps. Sometimes I find me being controlling to my husband, so, I won't be the one controlled. So, my mother was the one that influenced my life to be the person I am today. Good or bad!

It became an Epiphany. considering then, i've got not at all felt the comparable way. Now, I consistently verify the content cloth of the lavatory bowl, until eventually now flushing. It purely is going to tutor, divinity can come from the damnedest places. via the way, the meal I had that preceded my holy flow became garlic cheese grits. compliment Jesus! P.S. I stored that pius poop in the freezer. i could be chuffed to deliver a image to each man or woman involved.

Ok, this could be a long one!!

I live in Australia, i grew up with my mother and step father and half sister, who i love dearly. It was a great home, and although we werent very rich we managed. My step father was injured in a mining accident in 1992 in which we had to move from one town to another. I visited my real father on the school holidays and had 2 step siblings and a step mother, who are also very loving.

When i got a little older (early teens) my step fathers best friend started to look at me differently and after that my world changed. In the years after i became very permiscous and then i became terrified of any intimacy. I was bullied throughout highschool and the 4 friends i had turned on me in Year 11 and 12. I turned Goth, only for a few months.

I got into trouble in year 12 because of a teacher who bribed other students onto school camp by buying them ciggarettes (stupid me gave them to the other students). After school finished in 2004 i worked 3 jobs for 12 months to save money before going to University, where i now study a Bachelor of Arts.

My life experiences have shaped the way that i am today. I like to think of myself as a better person because of the adversity i had to overcome. I dont particually have a lot of respect for my biological father, he thinks that he doesnt need to help me in any way, so i resent him for that.

I still have intimacy issues, which i am trying to overcome, and i dont respect alot of men becuase of the way they treat women! I grew up in a very small town 800 people to be exact and i moved to a place of 65,000 people which was pretty overwhelming.

I do not believe in god! I think religon is hypocritical, however i respect others who do believe. I think that there is some higher power, but i dont know what it is. I think tolerance is needed in today's society because of all of the war and violence in the world. I think John Howard (our prime minister) is a terrible leader and i would prefer someone else in his place. I also believe that George W Bush needs to jump off his high horse and step down from office, his policies are really starting to annoy me.

'Life' to me, means living everyday to its fullest, and enjoying yourself no matter what. If you arent having fun, then you arent living.

Anyway, i hope that helped you in some way. :)

Losing my best friend (who was my sis-in-law) changed my life forever. I am much more empathetic than I was.
I remember going to breakfast the day after her accident and realizing that we don't know ANYTHING about the strangers we pass every day. This insight gives me the ability to recognize that some people are going through hell and helps to explain some pretty negative behavior. Good luck on your paper!

1. Leaving parents to go into the Army. (My age 17)

2. Meeting wife and getting married (My age 21)

3. Raising two sons (DONE!) (My age 22 and 25)

Nothing else was ever as important to me. (I turn 50 in August. THAT will probably traumatize me a bit!)

My father dying. I buried him on my 22nd birthday. It taught me that there's two things guaranteed in life: You're going to die and it's going to be sooner than you'd like. I made a promise to myself that I would never leave something for later on if I wanted to do it. Obviously I wouldn't wish losing a loved one on anyone, but I truly wish everyone could experience a moment that would put their life and how short it really is.

The last big lie. I know men are liars. Now I could honestly say women are just as big as liars as men. Can't trust either men or women in our society. Too much greed and ego everywhere.
