Look at the numbers. Has Okur EVER averaged 20 points per game? Has Okur EVER averaged 9 rebounds per game? Has Okur EVER been the best player on the team with the best record? Okur isnt even the best player on the Jazz. He has become quite the clutch player, but you also have to look at what Dirk did in the playoffs last year. Remember that 3 pointer to beat the Grizzlies? Or the layup and the foul at the end of the game over Ginobili and the Spurs? Dirk has several all-star appereances while Okur has yet to make it. Okur is a solid starter in the league with dirk-like skills, but has not even touched the level is on.

are upi kidding? is this ment to be a serious question. Sorry but there is not argument here! Dirk is WAY better! dont get me wrong, Mehmet Okur is good, but not Nowitski good. If Nash doesn't win MVP hes my next choice. He can shoot, he can post up, he can drive, he can do it all...and he 7ft tall!

Nowitzki is the better player. He has a more polished game than Okur and has a sweet jumper from everywhere on the court. He probably has more of an impact on the Dallas team than Okur has on the Jazz.

Dirk Nowitzki(w/ a z) coz he is the bomb. He is the best player in the NBa. Okur is a good player but Dirk is better. But u aint gonna give me best answer anyways so........

I guess numbers wise you'd have to say nowitski but I personally think Mehmet is a great clutch player who doesn't have an ego or a loud mouth. I think most of the players on the Jazz team are good and not egotistical, just wish they would pull out of their losing streak!
