get on myspace its an easy way to promote his music and anyshows (My budies band is on there, MYWEAPONOFCHOICE)
That and do plenty of foot work promoting playin shows. If hes good thats one thing he puts on a awsome show and shows love for his fans then he will build a strong following. Eventually things will start happening

ok...in all honesty he is not gonna go straight to the top like that. he needs to work his way up on the local scene and get his name out. the internet is always a big place to put music. he has to get a name before anyone will consider listening to him
