I think you should live for the now - life is too short and too precious to yearn for things past or in the future

I'll be 30 soon, and my body is more like a 60 year olds. My dad is in better conditions. I've had back surgery and diagnosed with arthritis in my knees elbows and back. Yeah I was a bit reckless in my youth, and worked hard since 17. But just trying to make the point that it's all in how you live. Look at Randy Couture who at 42 had the UFC belts in heavy and light-heavy weight divisions. There are many people now a days living well past the age of one hundred.

Back to the question - for me it was 22 - 24

Your picture indicates you are Female, so timing may be different for you. I am a 60 year old male, and I always thought the mid thirties was the best age.
For me, I was at my strongest, I had a good amount of knowledge and experience in life, I was well along the path to being financially sound, My parents were still young and didn't need care, My health was at it's peak, None of those nagging aches and pains that show up later in life.

I was old enough, that people regarded my opinions, I had learned not to covet having things just to impress others. I could enjoy some-one elses good fortunes without a pang of jealousy, I felt secure enough in my thoughts of myself, to be able to love others as they are. And best of all I learned a very important peice of Philosophy...If everyday, when I get up and look in the bathroom mirror, I like "WHO" I see. And being satisfied with yourself is everything.

I am 36, and I am not enjoying my 30's, I hope it gets better. I loved being between 27 and 29, it was more fun and I enjoyed my late 20's more.

He was working through college on my grandpa's farm
I was thirsting for for knowledge and he had a car
I was caught somewhere between a woman and a child
When one restless summer we found love growing wild
On the banks of the river on a well beaten path
Funny how those memories they last

Like strawberry wine and seventeen
The hot July moon saw everything
My first taste of love oh bittersweet
Green on the vine
Like strawberry wine

I still remember when thirty was old
My biggest fear was September when he had to go
A few cards and letters and one long distance call
We drifted away like the leaves in the fall
But year after year I come back to this place
Just to remember the taste

Of strawberry wine and seventeen
The hot July moon saw everything
My first taste of love oh bittersweet
Green on the vine
Like strawberry wine

The fields have grown over now
Years since they've seen a plow
There's nothing time hasn't touched
Is it really him or the loss of my innocence
I've been missing so much

Like strawberry wine and seventeen
The hot July moon saw everything
My first taste of love oh bittersweet
Green on the vine
Like strawberry wine

I liked it when a was 30 to 40. I did not think about the future to much. Every ten years your life changes, different job, locations relationships. Perhaps your 40's will be more inspiring. Keep busy, get some new friends, do something totally different and help people to get your mind off yourself. Luck to you girl

I really enjoyed 26... I'd finally figured out where I wanted to go in life, and had pretty much accepted myself for who I am... joyfully I might add. I am now 34... this is good too, but I am looking forward to a bit of rest soon... I am so close to achieving my goals that I set so long ago... and the gray hairs are starting to crop up! I need a break to pamper myself a bit!

I guess the 20's are the best years because you are in a process of discovering thins and getting to really know who you are and what you want in life. Its a settling decade I would call it. I am 28 and I am getting to know myself a whole lot better now. I have obviously not lived my 30's but I hope its better than my 20's.

Im 40 going on 18, Everyone seems to think 40 is a milestone so @ least you get thrown a party (lots of free Baileys). life is what you make it, work thru the bad times as best you can ,and don't dwell on them, enjoy the good times, My family tell me that im so laid back they surprised i don't fall over (lol) , Must admit tho i remember when i was at school and my mum told me its the best time of your life, you'll realise as you get older.. how right she was... just wish i cud tell her.
