what is a local store in which i can find "gum rubber"?

ive tried stores such as
-joanne fabrics
-michaels arts and crafts
-home depot
-lowes
still cant find it

to be used to make drum pads
im pretty sure it comes on a roll

Any art supply will have art-gum erasers, which erase pencil better than a conventional eraser.
