reference pics and guys talking about their hair care ^^.
I'm not too sure how to cut it (im not a cosmetologist) but I do know that the cut must be razorcut. If you don't know how to use one well I suggest that you just take him to a stylist. The front should def be longer than the back but the back should still be a couple of inches long depending on what he wants to do with it.

I'm sorry if I seemed mean but I just had a kick out of it.
But yea just do what the first poster said maybe let him dye a part of his hair a different color.

Why would you want to make your son look silly??? That haircut makes boys look like fey little waifs (no offense to any fey little waifs out there from the casting of les miserables). It's super cute on a girl, but not on a boy.

i have an 'emo' haircut, if you can call it that
it's right above my shoulder, layered, and choppy bangs
it looks good, but not on a boy
i don't it would be a good idea for you to give your son the cut
take him to a hairstylist, they know what they're doing
my mom's a hairstylist and cosmetologist, so she does my hair

just let him grow it out long and then cut the bangs at an angle.
maybe dye it black

an emo can. look up pix online so he knows which one he wants. it has to be grown out for certain styles. you could always go to a hair dresser
